An easy guide to unlock OnePlus 6 and install latest TWRP recovery, is now available at ShizHub. You probably already know, unlocking your smartphone/tablet is the first step to extract the complete juice of your device hardware. Once OnePlus 6 is unlocked, you can then easily install custom recovery such as TWRP recovery, can root it using Magisk or SuperSu. Requirements:

  1. Make sure your computer has working adb and fastboot. Setup instructions can be found here.

How To Unlock OnePlus 6


  1. Enable OEM unlock in the Developer options under device Settings, if present.
  2. Once done, connect your device to your PC using a USB cable.
  3. Now on your computer open a command prompt (on Windows) or terminal (on Linux or macOS) window, and type: adb reboot bootloader . You can also boot your OnePlus 6 to fastboot mode by pressing Volume Up + Power when the device power is off, until a boot menu appears.
  4. To confirm the device is connected in fastboot mode or not, type: fastboot devices.
  5. Once confirmed, type the following command to unlock the bootloader: fastboot oem unlock.
  6. The device should automatically reboot, if not then reboot it manually.
  7. Since the device resets completely, you will need to re-enable USB debugging for the next recovery installation process.

How To Install TWRP Recovery 3.2.3-1 on OnePlus 6


  1. Download TWRP.
  2. Once done, connect your device to your PC using a USB cable.
  3. Now on your computer open a command prompt (on Windows) or terminal (on Linux or macOS) window, and type: adb reboot bootloader . You can also boot your OnePlus 6 to fastboot mode by pressing Volume Up + Power when the device power is off, until a boot menu appears.

2. Make sure your device have at least 30% battery power.

3. You already have USB Driver installed for Moto G3 Turbo in your PC. Windows OS usually download and install USB driver automatically when you connect your device first time. You can always manually download USB driver from our latest USB driver download page.

4. Make sure USB Debugging is enabled otherwise you won’t able to transfer file between PC and mobile. You can follow our USB Debugging enable guide.

If you did everything that we mentioned above then you are ready to follow step-by-step guide on how to install Android 8.1.0 Oreo based crDroid v4.5 ROM on Moto G3 Turbo.

How to Update Moto G3 Turbo to latest Android 8.1.0 Oreo with crDroid v4.5 ROM

Step 1: Copy downloaded zip files to your device memory.

Step 2: Boot into recovery mode. To boot into recovery first turn off your Moto G3 Turbo and then press and hold Volume Down and Power button together. On the next screen use Volume Down to scroll to recovery and then press Volume Up to select. You can also boot into recovery without key combination.

Step 3: Create a Backup using TWRP Backup Option.

Step 4: Perform a Factory Reset (this will delete all apps and their settings and game progress). To do this, Tap on Wipe, then at the bottom of the screen do a Swipe on the ‘Swipe to factory reset‘ option.

Step 5: Finally, its time to flash the ROM file. Tap on Install, then browse to the location where you saved the files and tap on the crDroid v4.5 zip file. Then tap on Add More Zips, and add Gapps zip. Now at the bottom of the screen, do a swipe on the Swipe to confirm flash option to begin flashing.

Step 6: When the installation is completed, go back to the main recovery menu and tap on Reboot and then, tap on System to reboot your Moto G3 Turbo and boot up into Android 8.1.0 Oreo ROM crDroid v4.5. The first boot will take some time.

Returning to Previous ROM: To go back to your previous ROM, boot into recovery, select Backup then through Restore option, restore your previous ROM by selecting it from the list.

      Step-By-Step Guide For Factory Image Installation

      Step 1: Locate ADB folder on your computer. It most likely located at the root of your system drive. [ i.e C:\adb ]

      Step 2: Now extract downloaded factory image zip file of your respective device. Then copy extracted files to ADB folder.

      Step 3: Now open adb folder. After that, press and hold 'Shift' key and then right click to bring context menu. From context menu, click on 'Open command window here'. Alternate: Press Windows Key + R. Then type cmd and press enter. On then command window type cd\ and after that type cd adb. [I'm assuming C:\adb is the location of adb folder]

      Step 4: Make sure your phone is connected with computer. Now type following command: adb devices . This command should show your device respective code. If it not showing anything, then either your device isn't connected properly or you didn't followed all 'pre-requisites'.

      Step 5: Its time to boot into bootloader. To do so, execute following command: adb reboot bootloader. Your device should now boot into fastboot mode.

      Step 6: Now we are ready to flash OPM8.190205.001 factory image to respective device. For that double click on flash-all script that located on your adb folder. This script installs the necessary bootloader, baseband firmware(s), and operating system.

      Step 7: You will be asked to press any key to exit once the flashing process ended. Please do not exit the terminal or command prompt until it asked show.

      Your Pixel C will reboot automatically and is now running on latest Google Android Security patch for February 2019 with build OPM8.190205.001.

      Step-By-Step Guide For Manual OTA Installation

      Step 1: Locate ADB folder on your computer. It most likely located at the root of your system drive. [ i.e C:\adb ]

      Step 2: Copy OTA zip file to adb folder.

      Step 3: Now open adb folder. After that, press and hold 'Shift' key and then right click to bring context menu.       Step 5: Its time to boot into bootloader. To do so, execute following command: adb reboot recovery. Your device should now boot into recovery mode. In recovery use Volume button to jump between options and Power to select.

      Step 6: To enter sideload mode, select the option Apply update from ADB.

      Step 7: Now run the following command on command prompt: adb sideload ota_file.zip [Replace ota_file.zip with your downloaded OTA file name]

      Step 8: Once the update finishes, reboot the phone by choosing Reboot system now.
